MEET Megan Penn, Esq.

Attorney

Megan Penn joined J.P. Ward & Associates as a law clerk during her first summer of law school and has been an integral member of the firm’s employment law practice ever since. She is passionate about fighting discrimination and advocating for accountability, fairness, and justice in the workplace.

Megan graduated from University of Maryland in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor concentration in Middle Eastern Studies. She obtained her Juris Doctor from Duquesne Kline School of Law in May 2025 and was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in October 2025.

While in law school, Megan served as an Associate Editor of the Duquesne Law Review and was selected to compete as a member of both the Trial Advocacy Team and Appellate Moot Court Board. As a member of the Moot Court team, Megan finished as a semifinalist at the National Telecommunications Moot Court Competition, where she received the Best Brief Award. Megan also advanced to the quarterfinals of the prestigious William B. Spong, Jr. Invitational Moot Court Tournament.

Upon graduation, Megan received the Shalom Moot Court Award and was inducted into the Order of Barristers, a national and highly selective honor society for advocates who have demonstrated exceptional skill in trial advocacy, oral advocacy, and brief writing.

Born and raised in Maryland, Megan is an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Washington Capitals, allegiances that she hopes her Pittsburgh clients will forgive. In her free time, Megan enjoys rock climbing, boxing, reading, and puzzles.
