MEET Travis A. Gordon, Esq.

Chief Financial Officer & Attorney

Travis Gordon grew up on a horse-farm in South Buffalo, Pennsylvania, about thirty minutes north of Pittsburgh. Travis attended Valley Forge Military Academy outside of Philadelphia for high school and earned a Bachelor’s degree in American History from Duquesne University with a minor in Economics, where he graduated magna cum laude. In 2019, Travis attended Duquesne University School of Law and received his Juris Doctorate degree in 2019.

While in law school, he was selected to participate in the nationally recognized Trial Advocacy Team. In 2019, Travis along with his team members, won the prestigious National Trial Competition regional competition. Travis was also Vice-President of the Animal Law Society, an advocacy group for animal rights and a charitable organization.

Travis has been a dedicated staff member of J.P. Ward & Associates since August of 2015. During his time with the firm, he has excelled in various roles, including the development of our case management within the debt relief group. As an attorney, Travis currently serves as the acting manager of the debt litigation department. Throughout his time at J.P. Ward & Associates, Travis has eliminated millions of dollars of debt for thousands of Clients. Not only does Travis enjoy litigating and winning cases for his clients in every county across Pennsylvania, but he also feels a personal sense of honor helping Pennsylvanians achieve greater financial stability. Travis is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

In his free time, Travis enjoys lifting weights, reading American military history and fiction, skiing in the winters, and enjoying the beautiful Pennsylvania outdoors during the summers. Travis is also a board member for the Ariadne Fund, a charitable organization that raises money for women who have been the victims of domestic abuse.

Position

Debt Relief Litigation Group

Since 2015, Travis has been on the ground floor of our development of litigation strategies and solutions within our debt relief program. Travis is intimately familiar with Pennsylvania law concerning consumer debt defense. Travis has personally handled hundred cases filings that led to complete dismissal, saving our clients hundreds of thousands of dollars. 

His duties include intake, case set-up, drafting of legal pleadings, filings, scheduling, and updates. Travis also plays a major role in identifying and pursuing counterclaims involving banking violations, which allows our clients to recover money from banks that employ abusive debt collection tactics.

General Litigation 

Travis regularly assists our paralegal and lawyers with our larger civil cases, including personal injury, construction, home improvement violations, collections and breach of contract. Travis has experience in drafting complaints, service, preliminary objections, motions for summary judgment, obtaining medical and billing information, coordinating subrogation, and preparing settlement brochures for settlement negotiations.
